HEAT and CIP TECHNICIAN

SALARY:      $9.42 per hour – Full time – Full benefits – position available as funding permits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the direct supervision of the Programs Manager and Energy Specialist completes the following:

•    Determines eligibility for the HEAT Program based on written policy,
•    Interviews applicants for all documentation and income as required by policy,
•    Calculates income and establishes HEAT payment based on a written formula,
•    Refers clients to community resources based on their need  i.e. CASFB, Weatherization, DWS, etc.
•    Maintains a good working relationship with all  public utility companies,
•    Handles client questions and problems relating to HEAT program,
•    Completes and submits all necessary documentation required for payment,
•    Attends regular and other assigned training meetings,,
•    Must be dependable, trustworthy and a self starter
•    Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduation and one year experience  in an area related to the above duties and/or
Combination of education and experience substituting on a year by year basis.

•    Ability to do multi-task,
•    Able to work well with persons from a wide variety of backgrounds,
•    Have a broad knowledge of community resources,
•    Ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required,
•    Must be a self starter,
•    Maintain a high level of trust.
