This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the strategic development plan for an established non-profit organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and as a member of the agency development team, the key responsibilities include-

• Assist in the development and management of a year-round resource development / fundraising campaign targeted to individuals and families
• Cultivate and maintain donor relationships
• Increase donations from individuals and families
• Partner with Volunteer Coordinator to cultivate relationships with volunteers
• Engage donors in agency activities and initiatives
• Increase charitable contributions to fund raising and development priorities including special programs and capital projects
• Write and submit donor or E-Newsletters and other communication
• Assist in developing and implementing social networking strategies
• Participate as a member of the agency Communications Team
• Partner with Communications Director in regards to carrying out the public relations plan

Compensation:  Salary $ 14.47/ hour 15-20 hours/week  Partial Benefits; Temporary Position

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of successful fund raising, outside sales experience or equivalent volunteer experience
• Highly effective organization, multi-tasking, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• Professional appearance
• Knowledge of fund raising techniques and strategies
• Local Travel required
