Heat and CIP Technician

SALARY: $9.42 per hour – Permanent part time position – 25 Hrs. Per week – Partial benefits.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Under the direct supervision of the Programs Manager and Energy Specialist:

 

Determines eligibility for the HEAT Program based on written policy,

Interviews applicants for all documentation and income as required by policy,

Calculates income and establishes HEAT payment based on a written formula

Refers clients to community resources based on their need i.e. Community Action Services, Weatherization, DWS, etc.

Maintains a good working relationship with all public utility companies,

Handles client questions and problems relating to HEAT program,

Completes and submits all necessary documentation (time and mileage), required for payment,

Attends regular and other assigned training meetings

Must be dependable, trustworthy and a self starter

Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School Graduation and one year experience in an area related to the above duties and/or

Combination of education and experience substituting on a year by year basis.

Alphabetizing skills,

Computer skills helpful for some positions,

Able to work well with persons from a wide variety of backgrounds,

Have a broad knowledge of community resources,

Ability to speak Spanish is helpful but not required,

Must be a self starter,

Maintain a high level of trust.
