Salary:           Starting $10.06/hour, full time, temporary 16 months with PARTIAL BENEFITS
JOB SUMMARY: Deliver counseling and training services to clients of Community Action Home Buyer and Mortgage Counseling Program. Case Manage potential home buyers and at risk home owners who are in jeopardy of losing their homes. Perform outreach to communities to promote the counseling and training services.DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITES:
Under the direction of the Housing Coordinator performs the following tasks:
- Provide foreclosure prevention classes and counseling
- Assist with home buyer education classes and counseling
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assess needs and problem-solve with clients
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Identify appropriate resources, makes referrals and provide direct assistance as appropriate
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Complete necessary documentation, data input, applications, client files and other as needed
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Assist in designing and conducting foreclosure prevention and home buyer education classes.
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Conduct initial client interview
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Build and maintain constructive relationships with partner agencies
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Coordinate with members of the Home Buyer & Mortgage Counseling Team to ensure efficient customer service
-Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.     Basic knowledge of housing issues, programs, and resources
2.     High school completion (or GED)and two or more years experience involved in an area related to the above duties or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3.     Excellent oral and written communication skills
4.     Ability to work with persons from a wide variety of backgrounds
5.     Reliable personal transportation
6.     Advanced computer skills
